1917 Collection of Fifty Famous Fairy Tales

For all of you that have been looking for those old fairy Tales that you never see around anymore because of all the new ones taking the place of them and the old books containing them is just no longer around then here is a set of fifty of them compiled in 1917 and put in one book. This book was illustrated by Ella Dolbear Lee and Adapted by Rosemary Kingston. Some of these old versions are different than the latter versions. For instance Chicken Lickin is the original version of Chicken Little, Not only is the title different but the end of the story is different. Maybe they felt that the violent end should not be taught in the schools but still liked the over all story but just give it a more pleasant ending. Some I have not heard of myself and read them out of curiosity. But what better way to keep these fairy tales but on Cd.
